Estimator - Basingstoke

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire

Employer: Main Contractor (New Build & Refurbishment)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

An established main contractor is looking to appoint an Estimator to support tendering across commercial and residential projects up to £5m.

• Preparing detailed cost estimates from drawings, specifications and BOQs
• Analysing tender documents and identifying risks/opportunities
• Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Producing tender submissions and supporting documentation
• Liaising with pre-construction and delivery teams during handover

• Previous estimating experience within a main contracting environment
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
• Competent with estimating software and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
