Job Description
An experienced Estates Supervisor with a strong electrical background is sought to work in the St Bartholomew's Estate, overseeing daily estate operations to support world class care throughout the site.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary estates team, maintaining high standards of maintenance and repair.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including Fire Safety and Water Hygiene.
- Deliver work safely, efficiently, and in line with relevant regulations and Health & Safety guidance.
- Foster a culture of excellence, providing training and support to the team.
- Support minor installation works across the retained estate.
- Supervise testing, inspection and statutory compliance activities (e.g., pressure systems, water hygiene tasks).
- Work with a highly skilled multi disciplinary engineering team valuing collaboration and professional growth.
- Recognised apprenticeship and HNC/HND level education in a building service, mechanical, or electrical engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Specialist training in medical gases, water systems, legionella/pseudomonas control, gas safety, refrigeration systems, BMS, Air Conditioning & Electrical Safety.
- Knowledge of information systems for maintenance activity management (Concept CAFM System).
- In depth experience of healthcare building services and maintenance management of multi skilled teams across multiple sites.
- Experience allocating planned and reactive work to in house teams and contractors; proven ability to performance manage both work streams.
- Understanding of Standing Financial Instructions in relation to procurement, management, and commissioning of external contracting services.
- Detailed working knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Evidence based knowledge of statutory compliance for all relevant Estates and Engineering systems and building elements.
- Computer literate and able to maximise allocated resources to achieve set objectives.
- Ability to lead and motivate Estates teams; work under pressure to meet deadlines; able to work on own initiative and within a team.
