ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced and dedicated Estates Manager to join our wider Estates Team, taking a key leadership role in supporting the safe, compliant and high quality operation of our Avery Healthcare communities across the East Midlands region.
Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will oversee all aspects of facilities and property management across multiple operational care homes. From statutory compliance and maintenance delivery to refurbishment projects and asset management, you will ensure every environment remains safe, well maintained and aligned with Averys commitment to excellence.
You'll work collaboratively with Regional and Community Managers to support uninterrupted operations and maintain Averys best in class standards. This role combines hands on oversight with strategic planning, contractor management, risk evaluation, and clear performance reporting. Your work will directly shape the living and working environment for our residents and colleagues, helping us live our vision of creating meaningful lives together.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an experienced Estates or Facilities Management professional with strong property knowledge, confident leadership skills and a passion for maintaining high quality, safe and welcoming environments. You'll be someone who leads by example, communicates clearly and collaborates effectively across teams.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of five years experience in estates or facilities management (essential)
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of property management and statutory compliance requirements
- Have experience managing works within live operational environments
- Be confident in overseeing contractors, consultants and specialist trades
- Have experience conducting property surveys, preparing maintenance schedules and managing budgets

Please note this role will require:
- A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in estates or facilities management, with strong knowledge of property management and statutory compliance requirements, and experience managing works within live operational environments. They should be confident in overseeing contractors, consultants and specialist trades, and have experience conducting property surveys, preparing maintenance schedules and managing budgets.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
