About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Estate Regeneration Project Manager to lead the delivery of regeneration schemes across the city. You will manage a diverse portfolio of projects, working with internal teams, Members, developers and Registered Providers to increase affordable housing and transform Council estates.
This is a high-impact role requiring strong project management, political awareness and stakeholder engagement skills to drive regeneration from concept through to delivery.
What You'll Be Doing- Manage a portfolio of estate regeneration schemes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and contribute to business cases, options appraisals, feasibility studies and funding bids.
- Prepare reports, Cabinet papers and governance documentation to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, holding partners to account for delivery and value for money.
- Oversee procurement processes and manage consultants and contractors to achieve positive outcomes.
- Monitor budgets, manage cashflows and ensure expenditure aligns with the HRA Business Plan.
- Lead engagement with Ward Councillors and contribute to public consultations and governance forums.
You will be a capable and organised project professional with experience delivering housing or regeneration schemes in a complex environment.
You Will Have- Significant experience managing estate regeneration or comparable housing development projects.
- Strong understanding of procurement, legal processes and public sector governance.
- Experience managing project budgets and ensuring financial control and value for money.
- Ability to work confidently within a local government and political environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills across public and private sectors.
- Experience producing high-quality reports, presentations and briefings for senior audiences.
- Ability to analyse data, identify risks and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Deliver regeneration projects that transform neighbourhoods and increase affordable housing supply.
- Work closely with Members, senior leaders and key sector partners.
- Influence projects across all stages of the development lifecycle.
- Play a visible role in shaping the future of Council estates.
- Gain experience across governance, funding, procurement and strategic planning.
- Contribute to inclusive growth and improved outcomes for residents.
- Be part of a collaborative team committed to regeneration and place-making.
