Equity Research Analyst, UK

A global asset management firm is looking to hire an Equity Research Analyst to join one of the flagship global equity investment teams.

The purpose of this role is to conduct detailed equity analysis of UK stocks for global and UK strategies.

Role Description:

• Perform detailed fundamental equity analysis and provide investment recommendations
• Identify strong bottom-up investment ideas and produce research notes highlighting competitive advantages, industry dynamics and return drivers
• Build and maintain financial models
• Monitor existing positions
• Maintain and develop knowledge of various sectors
• Regularly meet and interact with company management

Ideal Profile:

• 4-8 years' experience as an equity analyst on the buy-side or sell-side
• CFA Charterholder or working towards the qualification
• Strong modelling, valuation and analytical skills
• Excellent academic background
• Ability to make sound investment decisions based on numerical and analytical skills
• Interested in long only equity investing
• Hard working and highly motivated
• Team player
