Job Title: EPR Communications Manager
Location: Remote
Contract Length: 6 months + Ext
Pay Rate: Up to £30.94 per hour (Inside IR35)
Hours: 37.5 per week

We are seeking an experienced EPR Communications Manager to support a major public sector Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation programme. This role offers the opportunity to play a central part in delivering one of the most significant digital health transformation projects currently underway in the UK.

Role Overview - EPR Communications Manager:

The postholder will lead the development and delivery of the programme's communications and engagement strategy, ensuring clear, consistent, and impactful messaging across multiple stakeholders. The EPR Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in raising awareness of the EPR programme, building trust and engagement and ensuring staff, patients and stakeholders are informed and prepared throughout each phase of implementation.

Key Responsibilities - EPR Communications Manager:

  • Develop and deliver the EPR Communications and Engagement Strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Lead day-to-day communications activity, managing content creation, campaigns, media relations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Produce compelling communication materials, including digital content, news stories, case studies, bulletins and social media updates.
  • Advise programme leaders, clinical teams and communications colleagues on best practice approaches to engagement and messaging.
  • Plan, manage and evaluate communications campaigns and events, ensuring impact is measured and lessons inform future activity.
  • Ensure reputational risks are identified and managed through proactive communication and engagement.
  • Support and mentor junior communications staff, providing leadership and quality oversight.

Skills & Experience Required - EPR Communications Manager:

  • Proven experience delivering communications and engagement in complex transformation programmes, ideally within healthcare or public sector.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing communication strategies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, able to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders, managing media relations and supporting high-profile projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in digital communications, content creation and use of social media for organisational engagement.
