EPM Solution Architect - Finance Transformation - ERP

We are seeking an experienced EPM Solution Architect to lead the architecture and solution design of an Enterprise Performance Management transformation programme.

The client is currently undergoing an SAP S/4HANA implementation and is reviewing its future EPM technology landscape. The Solution Architect will work closely with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, IT and transformation stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate potential EPM solutions/vendors and design the future EPM architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end architecture for the future EPM landscape.

• Lead discovery and requirements workshops with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, IT and business stakeholders.

• Understand the existing Finance/EPM landscape and its integration with SAP.

• Translate Finance and FP&A requirements into functional and technical solution designs.

• Support the evaluation and selection of EPM platforms and technology vendors.

• Assess potential solutions based on functionality, scalability, cost, integration capability and implementation complexity.

• Design integrations between the EPM platform, SAP S/4HANA, data warehouses, reporting platforms and other enterprise systems.

• Define architecture principles, data models, security models, data flows and integration patterns.

• Support solution design across:

  • Financial planning

  • Budgeting

  • Forecasting

  • FP&A

  • Financial consolidation

  • Management reporting

  • Performance reporting

• Produce architecture documentation, process models, interface specifications, data models and deployment designs.

• Ensure solutions meet security, audit, regulatory and internal-control requirements.

• Lead technical discussions with EPM vendors, system integrators and internal delivery teams.

• Oversee solution quality throughout design, build, testing, deployment and post-production support.

• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, technical debt and opportunities for process automation.

Experience Required

• Strong experience as an EPM Solution Architect, Finance Solution Architect or Finance Transformation Architect.

• Strong understanding of EPM, FP&A and Finance processes.

• Experience designing EPM solutions within complex enterprise environments.

• Experience integrating EPM platforms with SAP/S/4HANA.

• Experience evaluating and selecting EPM technology/vendors.

• Knowledge of leading EPM platforms such as SAP Analytics Cloud/Planning, SAP BPC, Oracle EPM/Hyperion, OneStream, Anaplan, CCH Tagetik or similar.

• Strong understanding of Finance data, planning, consolidation and reporting architecture.

• Ability to work with senior Finance, FP&A, IT and business stakeholders.

• Previous experience working on major Finance, ERP or S/4HANA transformation programmes would be highly beneficial.
