Environmental Sustainability Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to join our Building Services team in London. This role will support Skanska UK in its aspiration to be seen as the leading green contractor and developer, by delivering on environmental strategies, objectives and targets.
What you'll do:- Manage compliance across facilities management contracts including inspections, audits, performance reporting and investigation and close out of incidents.
- Provide guidance, advice and steer on environmental policy and legislation, Skanska's environmental and carbon strategy, and customer requirements.
- Support operational teams and subcontractors in identifying environmental risks and opportunities and support the implementation of these.
- Develop, maintain and implement all Environmental Management System (EMS) documentation at project/contract level.
- Monitor, analyse, report, and support in driving forward performance against projects/contracts/OU/EF/customer environmental objectives and targets.
- Deliver environmental training courses, toolbox talks (TBTs) and briefing sessions to internal and external parties.
- Support OU & EF leads with the internal and external communication of environmental performance to relevant stakeholders e.g. regulators, customers, industry.
- Support clients with achievement and maintenance of building certifications including WELL, NABERS, BREEAM, Fitwel.
- Lead energy audits to drive energy reductions and cost and carbon savings.
- Degree level and/or relevant (+3 years) experience in appropriate environmental discipline
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and waste management
- Experience in the Building Services sector, including facilities management and/or construction sector
- Experience of working closely with teams, contractors, clients, and other key stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience of collating, monitoring, and reporting environmental data
