Overview

Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit an Environmental Health & Safety Associate to join our EH&S team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the EH&S Manager in maintaining an excellent EH&S policy. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to have real career growth whilst adding to a busy department.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure Environmental Health and Safety is in accordance with company policy at all time

  • Assist in ensuring a high level of visibility of Environmental Health and Safety throughout the Company

  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of a highly effective proactive Environmental Health Safety management system

  • Assist and effectively deliver the Environmental Health and Safety induction programme as required to meet the needs of the business and the achievement of its objectives

  • Assist in general administration of Environmental Health & Safety Policies and COSHH templates

  • Assist in the maintenance of the register for personal and area monitoring

  • Assist in internal audit program in compliance of Environmental Health and Safety

  • Assist in co-ordination of Environmental Health & Safety audit recommendations

  • Assist in as required the administration and training of accident and hazard reports in order to maintain a high standard of reporting and recommendations

  • Assist as and when required with site evacuation

  • Support with purchase orders and invoicing

  • Co-ordinate First Aid stock requirements throughout the Company

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent ability to exercise good judgment

  • Excellent ability to engage with people at all levels

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • IT literate with excellent working knowledge of MS Office

  • Be able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively

  • Basic knowledge of current Environmental Health & Safety Legislation

  • Internal Auditor Training is desirable

  • First Aid Certificate is desirable
