English Teacher (Phonics & Reading) - Gateshead

Are you a passionate and dedicated English teacher with experience in phonics and reading, looking for an exciting opportunity in a supportive secondary school? We are seeking an English teacher to join a well-established school in the Gateshead area, the role is to begin at Easter 2026 and is ongoing.

The Role

• Teaching English to KS3 and KS4 students
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils
• Assessing and tracking student progress
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Maths curriculum

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or relevant qualification
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities

This is a main pay scale role and the pay range of £162.31 - £223.62 is linked to your current teacher pay scale.
