Job Description
English Teacher - EnfieldAn exciting long-term opportunity has arisen at a Secondary SEMH School in Enfield. We are seeking a resilient, passionate, and adaptable teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 English, while supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
The Role
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons for KS3 & KS4 students Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEMH needs and associated behavioural challenges Create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment Support students in developing both academic achievement and personal growth Work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including support staff and senior leaders Contribute to wider curriculum delivery and school life where required
Candidate Profile
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4) Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students Flexible, proactive, and confident in adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs Previous experience working within SEMH, alternative provision, PRU, or SEN settings is desirable but not essential A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people and helping them achieve their potential
