Are you an English Teacher looking for a new role from September?

A well-regarded secondary school in Bromley is seeking an English Teacher to join their department from September. This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher who enjoys delivering well-structured lessons and helping pupils develop strong reading and writing skills.

You will be teaching English across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for an experienced candidate. The department works collaboratively and has a strong focus on clear routines, exam preparation and consistent classroom practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English across KS3, KS4 (KS5 available for the right candidate)
• Plan and deliver lessons covering key texts, language and writing skills
• Prepare pupils for GCSE and A-Level examinations
• Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment
• Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve strong outcomes

Person Specification

• QTS and a degree in English or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
• Experience teaching GCSE English (A-Level desirable)
• Clear and consistent behaviour management
