TARA Recruitment is currently supporting a secondary school in Telford in the recruitment of an English Teacher to start as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and engaging teacher who can deliver high-quality English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The school is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic educator who can inspire students and maintain a positive learning environment.

Role Overview

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured lessons in English Language and Literature. You will support students in developing their reading, writing and analytical skills while ensuring they remain engaged and motivated in their learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering English Language and Literature lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that support student progress
• Assessing and monitoring student work and providing constructive feedback
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students in developing key literacy, reading and writing skills
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant secondary teaching experience
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• The ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities
• A professional, reliable and adaptable approach
