About The Role
A fantastic secondment opportunity to work as a Programme Director in Folkestone within the English department.
This secondment opportunity is covering maternity and by definition means that at the end of the fixed term position, you areguaranteedto return to your previous position at the time of appointment. It is a chance to focus on your development and growth for a select time!

This is predominantly a teaching role, with the expectation to support development of the curriculum area.You'll be teaching, supporting and assessing students coursework.
As a Programme Director you will plan a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet the local/regional skills requirements, and the needs of the student, in liaison with the department leadership team to support outstanding progression for students.
You will also lead and coordinate the delivery team so all students receive up-to-date course information during there time at college. You'll create course/programme activities to support student understanding of the objectives, assessment schedules and requirements in line with awarding body criteria, including the course handbook.

About You
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference to the future careers of our students, providing academic leadership and guidance in this area and managing the curriculum delivery and accreditation. Teaching and vocational experience is essential and strong leadership skills are desirable.
