Engineering Technician

A well-established food manufacturing company based in Naas, Co. Kildare is currently recruiting an Engineering Technician to join its on-site Engineering team.

This is a hands-on maintenance role within a fast-paced production environment, offering a strong salary and shift premium.

Shift Pattern:

• 24/7 operation
• 6am - 6pm
• 4-week rotating roster (days & nights)
• 30% night shift premium

Key Responsibilities:

• Reactive and planned maintenance across production and site facilities
• Fault-finding, repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
• Installation and commissioning of equipment
• Execution of preventive maintenance programmes
• PLC fault diagnostics (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider)
• Support utilities including compressed air and refrigeration
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and quality standards
• Liaise with suppliers and oversee contractors
• Participate in on-call support as required

Requirements:

• Engineering qualification or time-served Electrician/Fitter
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
• Manufacturing or food industry experience desirable
• Experience with CMMS, motor control systems, pneumatics and temperature control
• PLC experience an advantage
• Flexible, reliable and able to work on own initiative
