Engineering Manager, Data & BI - EMEA

We are Two Circles, a Sports & Entertainment Marketing business dedicated to growing audiences and revenues by understanding fans. We work with over 1000 clients globally, including major sports and entertainment brands, to help them understand and influence fan behavior through data-driven insights.

We are seeking a Junior Product Designer to join our technology team. The successful candidate will collaborate with our in-house team and partners to create innovative, fan-centric digital products that are visually impactful, provide seamless user experiences, and deliver maximum value to our clients.

Additionally, we are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead our EMEA-based Data Engineering squad. This hands-on leadership role involves guiding a talented team, championing best practices, and delivering data products that support some of the world's most recognizable sports brands. You will work closely with other engineering leaders and product managers to address technical challenges, define scope, and enhance our global data platform.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Building and leading engineering teams, mentoring data engineers, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Driving delivery and ensuring technical quality by applying best practices in SDLC, release management, and source control.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define scope, estimate work, and remove blockers.
• Leading technical design, architecture, and development of data-driven solutions, including AI/ML, visualization, and analytics capabilities.
• Promoting knowledge sharing and experimentation with emerging technologies.
• Improving onboarding, operational efficiency, and engineering consistency across regions.

Qualifications:

• Leadership experience in software or data engineering with a proven impact record.
• Strong understanding of software development, SDLC, and scalable, secure architecture.
• Hands-on experience in data engineering, preferably with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passion for innovation, developer experience, and rapid delivery.
• Experience working in multi-region or matrixed engineering environments.
• Familiarity with modern data frameworks (e.g., Python, Scala, Spark).
• Knowledge of test automation and DevOps practices.
