Based in Carlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF - The Home of Mr Kipling

Salary - From £65,000 to £67,000 per annum

Permanent - Full Time

Shifts Available from Monday to Friday (08:30am - 17:00pm)

A full-time, permanent opportunity has become available at our Barnsley site for an Engineering Maintenance Manager to join the team.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Engineering team responsible for implementing and executing the site maintenance strategy, managing Engineering Team Managers and shift teams, and developing maintenance processes to improve site performance.

The successful candidate will:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, food safety, and quality regulations.
• Develop effective cross-functional links to maximize long-term asset development.
• Establish and report on key Maintenance KPIs (PPM, Corrective Actions, Cost, Engineering Stores).
• Control maintenance spend in line with company objectives.
• Work alongside the Reliability Manager to implement and execute the site's Maintenance Strategy.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels to support the Maintenance Strategy and ensure policy adherence.
• Achieve objectives through effective management of teams.
• Maintain good employee relations through management, motivation, and development.
• Use technical skills to improve plant efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage a cost-effective maintenance budget to deliver maximum value.
• Oversee external contract support.

Skills required:

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role
• Experience in managing teams and people
• Understanding of site operations
• Experience with Planned Maintenance tools and performance optimization
