Job Description

Your responsibilities and tasks:

As a Senior Process Engineer (Pre-Sales & Execution), reporting to the Head of Process Engineering, you will create designs, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and oversee project execution from detailed design to commissioning. You will also support and mentor junior engineers and assist the sales team with client visits and presentations.

  • Translate client requirements into technical solutions.
  • Perform process, equipment, and piping sizing.
  • Develop enquiry stage P&IDs and key assumptions, execution plans, and scope boundaries.
  • Cost equipment and components, review enquiry documents, and collaborate with multiple functions to prepare scope and costings.
  • Consolidate costs and develop overall execution plans and timelines.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with company procedures.
  • Support project management with client visits, scope changes, and design documentation.
  • Participate in commissioning, testing, and initial production support.
  • Maintain project documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
Your profile and qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related.
  • Experience leading process and equipment bids and proposals.
  • Proven experience in hygienic process engineering in sectors like food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, or personal care.
  • Ability to develop process designs independently, including P&IDs and balances.
  • Strong risk assessment and QSHE compliance skills.
  • Experience managing small projects and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally 2-3 times per year.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
