The Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and engineering operations at my client's power station. Reporting to the Generation Manager, you will be responsible for plant reliability, asset integrity, safety performance, and the development of a high-performing engineering team.

Working closely with Operations, HSE, and Commercial teams, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all maintenance and engineering activities across the site.
• Maximise plant reliability, availability, and performance.
• Manage outages, maintenance programmes, and engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Manage contractors, service agreements, and maintenance budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement and asset management strategies.

About You

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven leadership experience within power generation, utilities, process, or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance management, asset integrity, and health & safety standards.
• Excellent people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Management qualification.
• Knowledge of PSSR and Process Safety Management.
