Engineer - Utility Surveyor

Devon & Cornwall (Redruth / Exeter) £25,000 - £40,000 per year (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Utility Surveyor or Trainee Utility Surveyor to join a well-established surveying business operating across Devon and Cornwall.

Working on a diverse range of projects-from major infrastructure schemes to domestic sites-you'll gain exposure to a variety of environments and the latest surveying technology, including GPR, CAT & Genny, CCTV, GNSS, robotic total stations, laser scanners, and UAVs.

This role involves a mix of site-based and office-based work, and a full UK driving licence is essential.

• Carrying out utility surveys
• Undertaking topographic surveys
• Processing data and producing drawings
• Conducting CCTV surveys

We're looking for someone with a practical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across different environments.

Ideally, you will have:

• 2+ years' UK experience in topographic and/or utility/CCTV surveys (for experienced applicants)
• Degree or HNC/D qualification (preferred)
• Experience using Leica or Trimble survey equipment
• Knowledge of CAT & Genny, GPR, and CCTV survey methods
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS

For trainees:

• Good GCSEs and relevant A Levels or T Levels (including Maths & English)
• A genuine interest in surveying or engineering
