Energy Technician

A growing and ambitious Lloyd's Broker is seeking an Energy Technician to join its London-based Energy Division. Working closely with Brokers and Producers, you will provide high-quality technical support to ensure efficient placement and servicing of Energy risks within the London Market.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the placement and ongoing servicing of Energy business, ensuring documentation, premium processing, and compliance requirements are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting Brokers and Producers with the placement and servicing of Energy risks
• Preparing, processing, and issuing documentation including Quotations, MRC Slips, Endorsements, Debit and Credit Notes
• Ensuring all documentation complies with FCA, internal, and London Market requirements
• Processing premiums, APs and RPs in line with agreed terms and market procedures
• Liaising with Clients, Insurers, and internal Finance teams to resolve premium and accounting queries
• Assisting with the production and processing of bordereaux where required
• Maintaining accurate records of placements, premiums, and bordereaux
• Supporting compliance requirements and internal standards
• Assisting with reporting and data analysis to support management information and business updates

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years' technical experience within the Energy Market
• Strong understanding of London Market processes and documentation
• Experience using broking systems (e.g. Whitespace or similar platforms)
• Good working knowledge of MRC slips and market procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented, proactive, and professional approach
