Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability Support Team Manager

Are you ready to lead a team of project support staff working in the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability Research space? This role provides leadership of a small team that supports a variety of projects in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds, with Project Management support for key research projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and line-manage the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability Team, coordinate the team and oversee strategic workforce planning to enable ongoing support for projects in relevant research areas.
• Act as a point of contact within the School for resourcing requests, expanding the team as needed to meet demand.
• Lead project management and coordination of activities, including strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation to ensure commitments and deliverables are achieved on time.
• Report on spending and monitor progress against objectives; organise and participate in project meetings; liaise with the project team and wider programme partners.
• Oversee content production for the project and media channels; support day-to-day project management needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Extremely well-organised with experience in supporting and coordinating large and complex projects in the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability space.
• Detailed working knowledge of research and government agendas in this sector.
• Experience providing leadership of a team and demonstrated ability to work in a cross-disciplinary, collaborative environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to support researchers and coordinate key activities.
