Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability Support Team Manager

Are you ready to lead a team of project support staff working in the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability Research space? This role provides leadership of a small team that supports a variety of projects in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds, with Project Management support for key research projects.
Responsibilities- Lead and line-manage the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability Team, coordinate the team and oversee strategic workforce planning to enable ongoing support for projects in relevant research areas.
- Act as a point of contact within the School for resourcing requests, expanding the team as needed to meet demand.
- Lead project management and coordination of activities, including strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation to ensure commitments and deliverables are achieved on time.
- Report on spending and monitor progress against objectives; organise and participate in project meetings; liaise with the project team and wider programme partners.
- Oversee content production for the project and media channels; support day-to-day project management needs.
The School of Earth & Environment aims to enhance capacity in engaging and inspiring teaching, especially in ecology and field learning. The successful applicant will be excited about collaborating in interdisciplinary research opportunities connecting the School's biosphere and Earth systems research. The role supports a collaborative environment where collective endeavour and contributing to research impacts is prioritized.
Requirements and Qualifications- Extremely well-organised with experience in supporting and coordinating large and complex projects in the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability space.
- Detailed working knowledge of research and government agendas in this sector.
- Experience providing leadership of a team and demonstrated ability to work in a cross-disciplinary, collaborative environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills to support researchers and coordinate key activities.
