We manufacture unvented hot water cylinders, calorifiers, buffer vessels, volumisers, thermal stores, and high-volume pre-plumbed assemblies for leading heat pump manufacturers and heating-sector customers.

The Role Due to continued growth, we are seeking an End-of-Line Quality Control Inspector to join our production team.
This is a hands-on shop-floor role responsible for inspecting completed products before they are approved for packing and dispatch.
You will use specifications, drawings, photographs, and inspection checklists to ensure products are complete, correctly assembled, tested, labelled, and finished to the required standard.
This role requires a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach, and the confidence to stop or reject products that do not meet quality requirements.
Full product and process training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities Final Inspection & Quality Control Inspect completed hot water cylinders, buffer vessels, calorifiers, and pre-plumbed assemblies before dispatch Verify product models, specifications, components, and customer-specific requirements.
Check products against inspection checklists,drawings, specifications, and reference images.
Assess overall workmanship, presentation, and assembly quality.
Ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards before release.
Pre-Plumbed Product Inspection Verify the correct installation of pumps, motorised valves, controls, sensors, immersion heaters, and associated components.
Check component positioning, pipework routing, supports, brackets, fixings, and visible workmanship.
Inspect electrical wiring for neatness, security, labelling, and compliance with approved information.
Confirm all required accessories, fitting kits, and loose components are included.
Ensure insulation, casings, covers, labels, serial numbers, and warning notices are fitted correctly.
Confirm all required production, pressure, leak, electrical, and functional testing has been completed where applicable.
Verify serial numbers and documentation match Production records.
Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure all documentation is complete before approval Non-Conformance Management Identify, quarantine, and record products that do not meet quality standards.
Prevent non-conforming products from being packed or dispatched.
Coordinate rework activities and re-inspect corrected products.
Report recurring defects, missing components, and workmanship issues to Production and Quality teams.
Provide photographic or supporting evidence when required.
Packing & Continuous Improvement Ensure products are fully prepared for packing with the correct documentation, accessories, and protective measures.
Maintain clear segregation of products awaiting inspection, approved products, and rejected products.
Support ISO 9001 quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve inspection standards and product quality.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area.
Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, inspection, or a similar quality-focused role.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects, damage, or incomplete work.
Experience following inspection checklists, work instructions, specifications, and drawings.
Confidence to reject products that do not meet required standards.
Ability to remain accurate and consistent when inspecting similar products repeatedly.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to complete accurate inspection records.
Basic computer skills.
Reliable, methodical, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience Previous end-of-line or final product inspection experience.
Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, plumbing, heating, electrical assembly, or engineering environments.
Knowledge of hot water cylinders, heating products, or pre-plumbed assemblies.
Experience inspecting mechanical, plumbing, or electrical components against specifications.
Experience managing non-conforming products and quality documentation.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or manufacturing quality systems.
No advanced quality engineering qualifications are required.
Full product-specific training and inspection procedures will be provided.
