An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Employment Solicitor to join a growing and highly respected law firm. Based in Chester, this newly created position offers the chance to establish and develop the firm's Employment Law presence across the North West and North Wales while working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer who enjoys combining high-quality legal work with business development and is looking for a platform where they can genuinely influence the future direction of a successful and expanding practice.

The Role

You'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy while managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a diverse client base. Working closely with colleagues across the wider business, you'll play a pivotal role in growing the firm's employment offering and strengthening its presence in the local market.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and developing the firm's Employment Law offering across Chester and North Wales.
  • Managing a varied caseload of employment matters, including Employment Tribunal litigation and day-to-day HR and employment law advice.
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate.
  • Building strong relationships with new and existing clients while identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Networking and undertaking business development activities to raise the profile of the Employment team.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to provide seamless legal advice.
  • Contributing to the continued success and profitability of the department through effective case management and client service.

The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from Employment Solicitors who can demonstrate:

A minimum of 5 years' PQE in employment law.
Strong technical expertise across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Experience conducting Employment Tribunal advocacy.
A proven ability to manage a caseload independently.
A passion for business development and growing client relationships.
Excellent communication and client care skills.
A collaborative, commercially minded and proactive approach.
The ambition to play a leading role in the continued growth of a successful Employment team.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional employment law role. It offers the chance to shape and grow an established firm's Employment practice within the region while benefiting from the support of an experienced and collaborative team.

The firm is committed to investing in its people, offering genuine career progression, an excellent work-life balance and a comprehensive benefits package. Whether you're an established Senior Associate looking to step into a leadership role or an experienced Employment Partner seeking a new platform for growth, this is an outstanding opportunity to make a real impact.
