Employment Solicitor

A Tier 1 Legal 500 firm in Newcastle is looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor with c. NQ-4 years PQE to join its growing Employment Team. The Employment Team is one of the largest and most proactive in the North East, with a strong reputation and a predominantly employer-focused client base across multiple sectors.

The team advises on a wide range of employment matters, including:

• Strategic workforce planning and reorganisations
• Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation
• TUPE and transactional support
• Executive severance
• Equality, diversity and inclusion matters
• General HR advisory work
• There is also a growing corporate immigration practice, providing opportunities for further development and specialisation.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Advising employer clients on day-to-day employment law issues
• Providing corporate support
• Assisting with strategic planning, reorganisations and other employment-related projects
• Managing and conducting Employment Tribunal claims

You will have a genuine interest in employment law, demonstrated through relevant experience. The successful applicant will be proactive and self-motivated, with strong technical ability and a committed work ethic.

The team prides themselves in delivering exceptional client service, so they are looking for someone who is confident in problem solving, and working effectively as part of a team.

Excellent communication and client management skills are essential, along with sound commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
