Job Description
My client is a regional, legal 500 law firm looking for a qualified Employment Lawyer to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong grounding in key areas of employment law, including:
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Unfair dismissal
  • Discrimination
  • Redundancy
  • Whistleblowing
  • TUPE
Key Responsibilities
  • Handle client matters efficiently, ensuring progress is maintained and clients are regularly updated on case developments and associated costs.
  • Advise on and draft settlement agreements with a confident and practical approach.
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and security concerning all firm and client documentation and information.
  • Meet agreed financial targets, including fee income and chargeable hours.
  • Liaise effectively with the credit control team to support financial objectives.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues across the firm.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with external organisations and institutions.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with the training and professional development requirements of the SRA and Law Society.

  • Proven experience delivering sound, commercially focused legal advice.
  • Strong client care and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently and meet deadlines.
