Employment Associate (4-6 PQE)

We are working with a leading US law firm seeking a talented Employment Associate to join their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to join a highly regarded team advising major corporates, financial institutions and multinational clients on complex employment matters.

The firm is looking for a commercially minded Associate with 4-6 years' PQE to play a key role advising clients on a broad range of contentious and non contentious employment issues within a fast paced international practice.

The Firm

The Employment Associate will join a prestigious US law firm with a strong global presence and a well established London office. The firm is known for advising high profile corporate clients, financial institutions and private equity sponsors on complex employment law matters, often in connection with major corporate transactions.

The London employment team works closely with colleagues across the US, Europe and Asia, providing Associates with exposure to international clients and cross border advisory work.

This is a full time position based in the firm's London office.

The Role

The Employment team advises clients on a wide range of employment matters including advisory, transactional support and employment disputes.

The successful Associate will play a key role supporting corporate clients and working alongside colleagues across the firm on complex matters.

The role will include:

• Advising clients on day to day employment law issues including disciplinary, grievance and termination matters

• Supporting corporate transactions with employment due diligence and TUPE advice

• Advising on restructurings, redundancies and workforce reorganisations

• Drafting employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements

• Assisting with senior executive exits and negotiations

• Advising on employment aspects of private equity and corporate transactions

• Supporting clients with employment tribunal claims and disputes

• Working closely with colleagues across international offices on cross border matters

The Employment Associate

You will be a technically strong and commercially aware lawyer looking to develop your career within a leading international employment practice.

The Employment Associate will have:

• 4-6 years' PQE within a recognised employment team

• Experience advising on both contentious and non contentious employment matters

• Strong drafting and advisory skills

• Excellent academic background and technical legal ability

• Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders

• Ability to manage multiple matters within a busy and fast paced environment

Experience gained at a leading UK or international law firm is preferred.
