Job Description
Employment Advisor

Salary: £31,930 per annum

Location: Islington

We're looking for a Restart Advisor who will play a transformational role in coaching and empowering individuals to achieve sustainable employment. You will support participants through career coaching, personal development, and help them overcome barriers such as debt, mental health, and career challenges.

What you'll be doing
  • Collaborating with participants through diagnostic assessments to identify barriers and create action plans that shift mindsets and identify the steps needed to secure meaningful employment.
  • Meeting and exceeding performance targets by continuously improving strategies and seeking input to deliver the best outcomes for participants and the wider community.
  • Understanding and signposting participants to internal and external services that address needs such as debt management, mental health, and career coaching.
  • Ensuring that participants have well crafted, professional CVs, tailored supporting statements, and cover letters to aid job searches.
  • Preparing participants for interviews by conducting mock interviews and assessment activities, and helping them build confidence.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic participant records that reflect the broad spectrum of support offered, from coaching to employment placement, within required timescales and to required standards.
You will require
  • Experience working in fast paced environments.
  • The ability to motivate, inspire, and challenge participants to achieve their fullest potential.
  • Strong experience in delivering against and exceeding performance targets and engaging participants in personal growth and mindset transformation driving positive change.
  • Exceptional communication skills-able to inspire and influence participants while addressing diverse needs with flexibility, robustness and creativity, and contacting employers and other external stakeholders to identify opportunities for participants.
  • Flexible and creative in solving complex challenges.
  • High level digital literacy.
  • Excellent organisational skills-able to manage a varied caseload and deliver exceptional support while juggling multiple priorities.
