Job Description
About The Role and Person

Help shape the future workforce of London.

Capel Manor College is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Employer Engagement & Partnerships Advisor to join our growing Employer Skills, Innovation & Growth team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in delivering the London Talent Pathways programme, connecting employers with talented individuals and helping Londoners overcome barriers to employment, training and career progression.

Working with businesses across a range of sectors, you'll develop strong employer partnerships, identify recruitment opportunities and support employers to access skilled candidates through one of London's flagship employment programmes. Every conversation you have and every relationship you build has the potential to change someone's future.

If you enjoy meeting new people, building lasting relationships and making a genuine social impact whilst working in a commercially focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

As Employer Engagement & Partnerships Advisor, you'll become the link between employers, participants and the College.

You'll work with employers across London to understand their workforce needs, promote the London Talent Pathways programme and create opportunities including jobs, apprenticeships, work experience and sector-based activities.

Working alongside curriculum teams, employment advisors and external partners, you'll ensure participants are matched to suitable opportunities whilst providing employers with an outstanding recruitment experience.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. One day you could be presenting to a large employer, the next attending a jobs fair, coordinating interviews or developing new partnerships that open doors for London residents.

What you'll be doing
  • Building and managing relationships with employers across London.
  • Identifying vacancies, work placements and employment opportunities.
  • Promoting the London Talent Pathways programme to new and existing employers.
  • Supporting employers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Organising employer events, networking sessions and recruitment activities.
  • Working collaboratively with College colleagues and external partners to maximise participant outcomes.
  • Using CRM systems to manage employer engagement activity and report against programme targets.
  • Contributing to contractual performance measures including job outcomes and employer satisfaction.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop longer term partnerships that benefit both employers and learners.
What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and isn't afraid to pick up the phone, attend networking events or meet employers face to face.

You'll ideally have experience in employer engagement, recruitment, business development, employability or account management and be confident working with a range of stakeholders.

Most importantly, you'll be organised, proactive and passionate about helping people progress into sustainable employment.

Why join Capel Manor College?

At Capel Manor College, you'll join a friendly and ambitious team committed to making a real difference to communities across London.

You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with leading employers, influence workforce development across the capital and contribute to one of London's most exciting employment and skills programmes.

In return, we offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave, Local Government Pension Scheme membership, ongoing professional development and the opportunity to be part of an organisation that is transforming lives through education and employment.
