Emerging SMB Outbound Sales - UK Market

This role drives net-new merchant acquisition in the UK SMB market through high-impact outbound sales. You will own the full sales cycle end-to-end, consistently generating new revenue and expanding PayPal's presence across the UK.
Essential Responsibilities- Drive demand generation and qualification through cold calling, email outreach, and inbound lead response.
- Negotiate and close contracts, addressing legal, financial, and technical concerns effectively.
- Conduct thorough discovery to analyse customer needs and present pre packaged solutions and use cases.
- Maintain a rigorous pipeline with accurate forecasting and regular reporting on pipeline status and revenue forecasts.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and leverage customer insights to optimise offerings.
- 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proactively research and map the UK SMB landscape to identify high potential merchants and build targeted outbound engagement plans.
- Execute high volume outreach through cold calls, tailored sequencing, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate qualified opportunities.
- Lead the complete B2B sales cycle - prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, negotiation, contracting, closing, onboarding, and revenue performance for the first 120 days.
- Conduct tailored, value driven product demonstrations and communicate a compelling PayPal value proposition aligned to merchant needs.
- Manage and maintain a disciplined sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and structured follow up to move deals forward efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure a seamless onboarding and activation experience for new merchants.
- Proven track record of success in outbound B2B sales with consistent achievement of ambitious new business and revenue targets.
- Strong hunter mentality - entrepreneurial, resilient, and highly effective at generating net new leads and progressing opportunities independently.
- Exceptional communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision makers and close deals confidently.
- Highly organized with strong prioritisation skills; comfortable managing high velocity pipelines and complex outreach plans.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tools; proficiency in MS Office and willingness to adopt new technologies and processes.
- Fluent in English; able to thrive in a fast paced, data driven, target oriented sales environment.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to share insights, contribute to campaign optimisation, and support a high performance culture.
