Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking a Macro Trader to execute orders from portfolio managers across our global book of business, emphasizing Foreign Exchange (FX), Global Rates, and Commodities. The role focuses on trade execution while adding value through collaboration with portfolio managers and analysts.

Responsibilities
  • Execute orders in a manner consistent with best execution and risk management principles.
  • Employ high and low touch execution methods for relevant accounts.
  • Gather, analyze, and disseminate market, sector, and instrument information to identify actionable investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, strategists, analysts, and other traders to solicit trade interest and locate external supply.
  • Monitor and improve execution efficiency while mitigating risk.
  • Communicate action oriented opinions clearly in both verbal and written form, contributing to an open investment dialogue.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant trading experience in currency, rates, or commodity markets.
  • Undergraduate degree required; CFA or Master's degree viewed favorably.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply them in a highly practical setting.
  • Pro technology mindset with ability to leverage technology for improved effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, R, MATLAB, etc.) and data analysis/visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.) is additive.
  • Self starter attitude with proactive identification and improvement of processes.
  • Impeccable integrity and fiduciary mindset with consistent prioritization of client interests.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Precision and risk management mindset with double checking, questioning unusual items, and frequent reconciliation.
  • Growth mindset, flexibility, and willingness to innovate within evolving investment products and market structures.
