Embedded Software Engineer - AUTOSAR (Powertrain Team, Global OEM)

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden (Hybrid)
Contract: 6months +
Via: LaFosse Associates

LaFosse is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong AUTOSAR expertise to join the Powertrain Team of a leading global OEM based in Gothenburg. This hybrid contract role offers the opportunity to work on safety-critical systems that contribute to the next generation of automotive technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and adhere to existing software architecture, including system inputs, outputs, and structure (covered during onboarding).

  • Integrate pre-developed software modules from a shared library into larger Embedded systems.

  • Modify and adapt software logic ("delta logic") to support varied use cases and platform requirements.

  • Develop and maintain Embedded software in C, targeting both general-purpose and specialized processors.

  • Ensure code meets ASIL B functional safety and quality standards.

  • Follow project coding guidelines and best practices consistently.

  • Take ownership of the robustness, reliability, and compliance of delivered software.

  • Perform required safety and quality tests, including code coverage analysis, to ensure production-readiness.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in C programming for production-grade Embedded systems.

  • Solid knowledge of GTM-PWM, ADC processing, and interrupt handling, preferably on Infineon AURIX microcontrollers.

  • Understanding of Embedded system architectures, including accelerators and processors.

  • Proficiency with Eclipse-based IDEs and Embedded toolchains.

  • Experience with AUTOSAR architecture, including software component (SWC) development and safety quality checks.

  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (eg, ISO 26262) and compliance workflows.

  • Fair understanding of power conversion systems (eg, relevant to EV or hybrid systems) is a plus.
