Embedded Software Development Engineer - Belgium - Avionics

For one of our clients in Belgium, we're looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join the Avionics display development team.

About the role

You will work closely with software and hardware engineers to develop Embedded software, Middleware, and applications for safety-critical display products used in the aerospace industry.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and analyse requirements, contribute to software architecture, and develop high-quality Embedded software in line with established frameworks and standards.
• Support reviews, verification, and validation activities to ensure safety, compliance, and product quality.
• Collaborate with the project team to deliver solutions on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Recent graduate or professional with a few years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Embedded software development using C.
• Knowledge of electronics, driver development, and/or Python is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in an international environment.
• Fluent in English.

This is a permanent position, ONSITE in Kortrijk, at least three days per week so living locally would be ideal.
