EL/PL Managing Associate - 4 yrs + PQE

Overview

At QED Legal, we're working with a highly respected national firm to strengthen their Insurance team in Glasgow. This opportunity targets Solicitors with around 3-4 years' PQE or Associates with 5+ years' PQE who are ready to take the next step and assume a leadership role. This role goes beyond managing files; you'll have your own interesting and varied caseload and the scope to influence and lead within the team.

Responsibilities

You'll handle a diverse caseload spanning:

• Employers' liability
• Public liability
• Disease
• Motor work

Key leadership and collaboration duties include:

• Supporting Partners directly and helping drive forward client relationships
• Contributing to training and development
• Providing mentoring within the team
• Shaping the direction of work and taking on a visible leadership role

You'll work with a broad client base - from insurers and insureds to local authorities - and engage with complex, high-value matters that will stretch you technically while you mentor junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitors with around 3-4 years' PQE or Associates with 5+ years' PQE
• Ambition to lead, influence, and develop client relationships
• Comfort with complex, high-value matters and cross-functional collaboration
