Elementary Summer Program 4.5hrs/day

TAW SUMMER ONLY - PARAEDUCATOR - SUMMER SCHOOL

Interested DCSD Paras must complete an internal online application through Applitrack to apply.

Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships

• Must be in good standing with DCSD Attendance Policies
• Rate of pay is para rate minus sped differential
• Ability and willingness to work with students who attend the DCSD Summer Learning elementary school program
• Ability to work with students on classroom assignments
• Ability to accept direction and lead from teachers
• Ability to be outside for long periods of time
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Personal qualities need to include: nurture, good attendance, patience, dependability
• Other duties as assigned by Coordinator, or Teachers
• Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics
• Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential
• Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully

• Ability to bend, squat, push, pull and lift 50lbs
• Ability to be on feet most of the day

• Ability to work with a diverse student population
• Willingness to work with on-line instruction technology
• Willingness to implement the Summer Learning Program as it is designed
• Ability to trouble-shoot technology problems
