Electronic Design Engineer

Opportunity to work with leading designer and manufacturer of high reliability electronic motor control solutions.
Design & development of hardware (analog, digital and power electronics) for range of servo-drive products whilst ensuring that the products meet performance specifications, cost & reliability targets, comply with regulatory standards and are designed for manufacture & test (DFM &DFT)
Involved in all aspects of the hardware life cycle i.e. requirements definition, architectural design, implementation, integration and testing as part of a multi-site development team.
You will participate in design reviews and business reviews as required.
You will be expected to support a reasonable level of travel including on-site customer support.

• Relevant third level degree electronics or related. with knowledge of the operation and control of permanent magnet synchronous motors.
• Knowledge of power conversion principles, topologies and technologies, and thermal management
• Capability and experience in VHDL language.
• Experience of hard real-time embedded system developments to defined project schedules.
• Knowledge of electronic devices and FPGA communication with electronic devices (e.g. A/D, D/A, optical encoders).
