Electrical Mate
Role Summary:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Electrical Mate to assist with ongoing electrical works across TFL Underground stations in Zones 1, 2 & 3.
The successful candidate will support electricians and telecom engineers on night shifts, carrying out installation and cable support works under supervision. This role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience on similar rail or infrastructure projects and a valid CSCS card (or equivalent grading card).
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the installation of Cable Management Systems (CMS), including:
- Trunking
- Tray
- Conduit
- Support with the installation, termination, and testing of:
- CAT6A and fibre optic cabling
- Field antennas and associated telecoms equipment
- Work effectively as part of a team under the supervision of the Site Person in Charge (SPC)
- Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow site health & safety procedures
- Nights: 23:45 - 04:45
- Days: Sunday to Thursday
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend Work: Available at enhanced rates
- Duration: Ongoing (until end of 2026; continued work subject to performance)
- CSCS Card or Grading Card
- Sentinel ICI (Industry Common Induction)
- DBS Check
- Asbestos Awareness Certification
- Face Fit Test (proof required or must be undertaken)
- First Aid
- PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association)
Work will take place at TFL Underground sites in Zones 1-3. Previous experience working in rail environments is essential.
