Overview

Electrical Technician at Kimberly Clark in Northfleet. As an Electrical Technician you will be preventing and fixing problems on high speed machines that produce top notch products for 1% of the world's population. You'll be recognized by your manager, supported by your team, and see the products you produce being used by your own family at the end of the day.


In this day based role you will report to the Asset Leader and safely execute the activities required to deliver the mill reliability strategy, driving asset performance and conformance to site standards. You will effectively implement World Class Best Maintenance practices in a way that meets all Kimberly Clark standards and processes.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment associated with the production, packaging and distribution through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance work.

  • Diagnose the cause of technical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and apply adequate resolutions following work instructions.

  • Prepare and lead planned maintenance activities, including all scheduled planned maintenance shutdowns.

  • Demonstrate and drive the 3 Safety Obligations.

  • Support a 24 hour call in rota and work flexible hours outside of normal day hours to cover business needs and shortfalls within the team.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English.

  • Working towards or having achieved an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.

  • Computer literacy skills.

  • Hands on approach to problem solving, flexibility and experience in an FMCG process, tissue or heavy engineering environment.

  • Strong awareness for safety and ability to work in a high speed production environment.
