Job Description
Electrical Quality Inspector - Limerick Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Athlone, Co.Westmeath, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Dornan team as an Electrical QA / QC Inspector, supporting the delivery of our Pharmaceutical project. Due to the continuous growth with Dornan Engineering, we are currently looking looking to recruit experienced Electrical QA / QC Inspectorto join the company on exciting projects. You will join Dornan's hard working and ambitious project teams and you will benefit from a supportive culture, where your ideas and contributions will be recognised. At Dornan we are currently recruiting Electrical QA / QC Inspector to work on a pharma project in the Limerick area. Your day to day will include: Inspection of Electrical Works on site Documentation & Traceability - Maintain detailed inspection records, snsure full traceability of: Cables, Instruments and Panels Review: As-built drawings, O&M manuals, Test packs Support validation documentation: IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification) Material Inspection & Approval; Inspect incoming materials: Verify against approved submittals, Check for damage, compliance, certification Ensure materials meet pharma requirements: Fire-rated where needed, Low smoke zero halogen (LSZH), Suitable for hygienic environments Testing & Commissioning: witness and verify testing such as: Insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, Earth loop impedance tests, functional testing of systems, coordinate with commissioning teams, ensure all systems meet performance requirements before handover Coordination & Communication: work closely with: contractors and subcontractors, QA/QC team, project engineers, validation teams Attend: Site meetings, QA/QC reviews, walkdowns and punch list inspections Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure electrical works follow: Lockout/tagout procedures, safe working practices, Identify unsafe conditions during inspection, ensure compliance with site HSE requirements About you You are detail-oriented, organised, and committed to delivering high quality installations in complex project environments. You work well within multidisciplinary teams and take pride in ensuring installations meet strict project and client quality requirements. Previous experience as an Electrical QA/QC Inspector within construction projects. Experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, or similar large-scale industrial projects is desirable. Familiar with walkdowns, snagging processes, and system turnover. Strong PC competency including Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to review electrical installations against drawings and specifications. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience with inspections, testing documentation, and project turnover processes. Your Qualifications Third level degree or Trade qualification in the Electrical discipline.
