Are you a skilled Electrical Project Engineer with a knack for precision, planning, and problem-solving? We're working with a leading engineering business in Hawick who are looking to add a Project Engineer (Electrical) to their growing team.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Developing detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Overseeing electrical design work, ensuring compliance with key standards (BS7671, IEC, NEC).
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and external stakeholders for seamless project integration.
  • Managing the installation, relocation, and modification of production lines with minimal downtime.
  • Providing expert-level technical support to maintenance teams and resolving complex electrical issues.
  • Driving long-term electrical infrastructure improvements, including energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensuring all work meets quality, environmental, and health & safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Time-served Electrical Engineer through a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in project engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical standards and design practices.
  • Confident working with AutoCAD, MS Project, and ERP/CMMS systems (e.g., SAP or FIIX).
  • Great communication and leadership skills - able to motivate teams and build strong relationships.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to travel or adjust working hours as project demands require.
