Electrical Operational Lead

We are seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Operational Lead to oversee the delivery of our electrical and solar (PV) operations across Ireland. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing electrical teams, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining the highest safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will have a strong electrical background, proven leadership experience, and practical knowledge of commercial and industrial solar PV installations. They will play a key role in expanding our renewable energy services while ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of electrical and solar PV installation teams.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple electrical and renewable energy projects simultaneously.
- Ensure all work complies with Irish electrical regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Promote a strong Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) culture across all operations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to electricians, supervisors, and apprentices.
- Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and safety reviews.
- Work closely with clients, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, labour productivity, and budgets, implementing improvements where required.
- Support project planning, estimating, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all electrical testing, commissioning, certification, and documentation are completed to the highest standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across the business.
- Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical trade qualification.
- Extensive experience managing electrical operations, installations, or maintenance teams.
- Proven leadership experience within commercial, industrial, or utility electrical environments.
- Strong knowledge of Irish electrical regulations and health and safety legislation.
- Demonstrated experience delivering commercial and industrial solar PV projects.
- Excellent understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage systems, and electrical integration.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
