Electrical Mechanical Site Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experiencedElectrical / Mechanical Site Maintenance Engineerto join a well-establishedwindow and door manufacturing businesswithin the glazing and fenestration sector. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy production facility, ensuring machinery, equipment, and site services remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

The role will involve planned and reactive maintenance across a range ofelectrical and mechanical systems, including CNC machinery, fabrication equipment, conveyors, compressors, and general plant machinery commonly used in window and door manufacturing. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance of manufacturing machinery and plant
• Fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Supporting production teams to reduce downtime
• Ensuring health & safety and compliance standards are met
• Assisting with installations, upgrades, and process improvements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (or time-served experience)
• Experience with machinery used in window, door, or glazing manufacturing preferred
• Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• PLC fault-finding experience
• Knowledge of CNC machinery
• Experience within the glazing, fenestration, or construction manufacturing sector
