THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Harness Engineer to support the full lifecycle of harness design, manufacture, and validation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create detailed harness drawings in accordance with aerospace/defence standards.
  • Manage the procurement of all required parts and components.
  • Oversee the manufacture of electrical harnesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design.
  • Validate harnesses against specifications and ensure full compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  • Deliver completed test harnesses that are fully validated and compliant.
  • Provide harness designs in PDF and Microsoft Visio formats.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure successful integration.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Strong experience in harness design, manufacture, and validation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and other electrical design tools.
  • Knowledge of aerospace/defence engineering processes and quality standards.
  • Hands-on experience with harness assembly, testing, and fault-finding.
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills.
  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be able to meet the requirements for UK SC security clearance
DESIRABLE SKILLS
  • Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
  • Understanding of configuration and change management.
  • Familiarity with CAD/ECAD tools (e.g., CATIA, EPLAN, Zuken).
  • Awareness of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards for cable and harness assembly.
