Electrical Engineer

Reed Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer. This organisation is known for its supportive, close-knit culture and commitment to investing in its engineering team.

This role is ideal for an electrically biased, multi-skilled engineer who enjoys being hands-on in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly through effective fault finding, maintenance, and continuous improvement, with excellent earning potential through overtime and long-term job security.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery
• Electrical fault finding on 3-phase systems and PLCs
• Supporting production by minimising downtime and improving equipment reliability
• Working within a busy food production environment
• Operating on a rotating days and lates shift pattern (no nights)

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer
• An electrical bias with strong fault-finding capability
• Experience working with 3-phase electrics and PLCs
• Basic mechanical skills (general maintenance, strip-downs, repairs)
• 18th Edition qualification (advantageous but not essential)
• The ability to commute to Preston
