Electrical Designer

Our client is a leading global EPCM company with worldwide operations and projects across Ireland. They are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join their team.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team on a variety of projects, including semiconductor manufacturing facilities, data centers, and other advanced developments. You will be part of a dynamic environment delivering high quality designs for global clients, contributing to some of the most complex and specialized projects currently being developed-making it an excellent opportunity for a mid level designer to expand their skills and gain valuable industry experience.
The successful candidate will be proactive and self driven, with strong communication abilities and a genuine interest in applying their technical knowledge within a team setting. They should be capable of managing deadlines effectively while adapting to the demands of a fast paced and continuously evolving client environment.
Responsibilities- Perform required engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents in collaboration with a team of engineers and designers.
- Under the guidance of a Senior Engineer, develop electrical services designs using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate and collaborate in real time with other disciplines such as mechanical, structural, architectural and process to develop designs.
- Adhere to quality and CAD/BIM standards.
- Provide technical support and assistance to Electrical Engineers.
- Analyze and design complex building systems, including:
- Medium and low voltage power systems
- Lighting, grounding, and process heating systems
- Standby generator and UPS systems for critical power needs
- Apply sound engineering judgment when developing plans and alternatives, collaborating with teams to ensure high quality outcomes.
- Perform field activities such as filed surveys and design verification.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior designers on a project by project basis.
