Position: Electrical Design Engineer

Pay rate: £45.00 p/h inside IR35.

Role Type: Contract until April 2026 with an Extension

Position: Hybrid role

Join a cutting-edge aerospace team driving innovation in Hydrogen testing and experimental test environments. This is your opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary group focused on designing and developing electrical systems for new test benches and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop architectures for data acquisition and control systems
• Create electrical schematics and specify instrumentation for diverse measurements (pressure, flow, voltage, current, etc.)
• Collaborate on requirements and technical documentation
• Contribute to the setup of advanced laboratory test means and facilities

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or KiCad
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and systems
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems
• Familiarity with avionic data buses (ARINC 429, CAN, AFDX) and hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues)
• Solid grasp of testing principles
• Agile mindset with a strong team spirit
