Overview

Electric Commercial Vehicle Sales Executive, based in Basingstoke. £20,000 Basic £45,000 OTE (commission guaranteed for 6-9 months). Permanent Full-Time.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established motor trade dealership in Basingstoke, who are expanding their commercial vehicle operation and are now looking to appoint a dedicated Electric Commercial Vehicle Sales Executive.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a growing electric van brand, with full dealership backing, warm leads provided, and the chance to build a long-term sales pipeline from the ground up.

You will be the sole, dedicated sales professional for this brand - giving you full control, visibility, and long-term earning potential as the business develops.

The Role

This position is ideal for a motor trade sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing accounts, and taking responsibility for growing a product line.

You will manage all enquiries and customers for the electric commercial vehicle range, working with both new and existing business clients.

This is not a short-term, quick-turn role - the dealership is looking for someone who is stable, committed, and invested in seeing a project through as the brand grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing all sales enquiries for the electric commercial vehicle range
  • Handling inbound leads and developing new business opportunities
  • Building long-term relationships with local businesses and fleet customers
  • Managing the full sales process from enquiry to delivery
  • Advising customers on electric vehicle solutions and suitability
  • Supporting customers with finance options including leasing and contract hire
  • Understanding business VAT implications (training provided where required)
  • Maintaining accurate CRM and sales documentation
  • Working closely with management to grow order bank and brand presence
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous motor trade dealership sales experience is essential
  • Background in either car or commercial vehicle sales considered
  • Understanding of leasing, contract hire, and business sales is advantageous
  • Professional, structured, and process-driven approach
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Looking for stability and long-term development, not frequent role changes
  • Comfortable building a brand and pipeline over time
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 6:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Day off in the week (5-day working week)
  • No Sundays
  • No Bank Holidays
Salary & Package
  • £20,000 basic salary
  • £45,000 OTE
  • Guaranteed commission for the first 6-9 months while the order bank is built
