Electrial Supervisor

We are currently looking for Electrical Superviors for an ongoing project based in Reading.
Purpose of Job:
To manage health and safety, control and coordinate all Installation activities (including plant and materials required) on site including the associated reports and documentation.
Principal Accountabilities:
To ensure all site installation activities are managed, controlled and coordinated in line with project requirements. All installation activities are to be coordinated with the project teams and other trades to maintain efficiency/productivity of the site installation team/s.
All site activities are to be planned, tracked and reported as required. All documentation to be generated in line with the project requirements to aid H&S, planning, progress and commercial aspects.
Detailed Responsibilities
Reports to Construction Manager
Produce daily site reports (including detailed progress, blockers, issues and waste produced/disposed of) using online GATHER software.
Manage floor specific site installation team
Monitor site installation team attendance/time keeping
Ensure standard of install is specification and compliant to BS7671
Managing works to ensure tasks are being carried out safely and in accordance to the approved Safe System of work (SSOW) and Task Briefing Sheet (TBS)
Carry out site installation team daily safety/activity briefings and performance monitoring.
Manage the use of materials to the site workface, and clearance of waste in coordination with logistics manager/team
Complete regular stock checks ensuring everyday materials do not run out or get low in coordination with logistics manager/team.
Review short-term programmes to ensure the required working locations are clear and materials/plant are in place.
Liaise with the Construction Manager/Project Engineer regarding installation Hold Points advised within the ITPs to ensure compliance with the projects Quality Assurance processes.
Manage the local (floor specific) Fourway storage area in coordination with the Logistics Manager/Team.
Liaise with other supervisors (Fourway and other interfacing trades) daily.
Ensure the installation team are using the correct PPE (including task specific).
Monitor the correct use of plant items and hand tools.
Attend daily briefings with Balfour Beatty to discuss Site activities, make ready needs and coordination. (DABs)
Monitor the use of COSHH material usage and storage on site in coordination with Logistics Manager/Team.
Monitor MEWPs and access equipment when in use on site.
Monitor daily plant checks and ensure completion.
Control access to floor specific material storage, to avoid damage/theft.
Attend internal meetings as required.
Identifying blockers/issues to the construction manager that could potentially cause waste/delay
Identify any training needs
Attend all safety stand downs and H&S events
Primary liaison with logistics, to stop the work force going to/from the stores
Ensure the team (inc themselves) produce close calls/positive observations (Minimum 1 per person per week)
Manage site team holiday requests and discuss with construction manager to ensure sufficient site installation team cover is maintained.
Ensure the work area is clean and tidy.
Ensure the site rules are obeyed all at all times.
Conduct themselves and the team to an exemplar standard in all aspects whilst on site or travelling to/from to ensure Fourway is represented to the very best
Ensure everyone's PPE to be clean and in good condition.
Weekly updates to Red line drawings (to aid with commercial ongoings)
Complete BBK Supervisors Passport Scheme
Required Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications and Training:
Previous knowledge and experience in the role of a Electrical Site Supervisor.
Experience in supervising a team of 6 as a minimum.
Confident in understanding of construction drawings (including red line drawing processes).
ECS card (Gold or black).
First Aid (1 day minimum).
Manual handling.
PASMA/PASMA+ (Stairs) - not essential to start but will need to be completed at the earliest possibility.
General understanding of MEWPs/Access platforms and working at height (including emergency lowering procedures) - Familiarisation will be provided throughout the project life cycle.
Clear and precise communication skills.
IT literate (Email, reporting software and project drawings/documentation).
