Job Description: Freelance Wireless Site Survey Engineer

Location: Viale Fulvio Testi, 280/6, Italy

Area: 57,000 sq. ft. across 3 floors

Engagement Type: Freelance / Contract Basis

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Wireless Site Survey Engineer to conduct a comprehensive RF site survey at our facility located at Viale Fulvio Testi, 280/6. The objective is to evaluate wireless performance, identify potential RF issues, and recommend improvements for optimal wireless network deployment. The survey must be executed using Ekahau tools.

Scope of Work:

• • Conducting a wireless site survey using Ekahau Software and Sidekick v2.
• • Evaluating RF performance across all three floors.
• • Creating heatmaps for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
• • Performing interference and SNR analysis.
• • Recommending AP placement, signal optimization, and identifying potential interference sources.
• • Validating coverage, overlap, and identifying suboptimal AP placements.
• • Assessing ceiling height and identifying physical obstructions affecting wireless signal propagation.
• • Conducting a visual inspection of the site.
• • Preparing and submitting a comprehensive final report.
• • Conducting a client walkthrough for review and final sign-off.

Tools Required:

• Licensed Ekahau Pro Software

• Ekahau Sidekick v2

Assumptions and Caveats:

• • Customer will assign a site contact and escort as required.
• • Any delays in site access may impact survey timelines.
• • This scope excludes any configuration or console access to network devices.
• • Customer will provide floor plans and report templates.
• • Survey must be conducted during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm local time).
• • Photography is allowed for documentation purposes.

Success Criteria:

• • Successful completion of surveys across all assigned floors.
• • Delivery of final heatmaps, interference reports, and recommendations.
• • Final report reviewed and approved by client with walkthrough sign-off.

Qualifications:

• • Proven experience in conducting wireless site surveys.
• • Hands-on experience with Ekahau Pro Software and Sidekick v2.
• • Strong understanding of RF principles, WLAN design, and interference mitigation.
• • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• • Professional demeanor with client-facing communication abilities.
