EHS Coordinator - Stourton Dairy

Arla is the UK's largest dairy and the creator of household favourite brands such as Cravendale, Anchor, Lurpak, and Castello. This dairy, located in south Leeds, is one of the UK's largest, producing 750 million litres of milk per year.

About the role

You will play a key part in the site QEHS team in delivering results to ensure continuous improvement through Environment, Health and Safety. You will also drive our ambitious Safety agenda and support the wellbeing of our 450 colleagues. Reporting directly to the Senior QEHS Manager and working with another team member, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and, through internal audit, identify and develop areas for continuous improvement. You will lead the Behavioural Safety Programme, develop Safety Champions to ensure safety accountability across the site, and support a busy CapEx project agenda.

Qualifications & Skills

• Environmental, Health and Safety background - ideally gained in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
• NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) - essential.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Environmental ISO 14001 standard - preferable.
• IEMA certificate (or equivalent) - preferable.
• Lead auditor - preferable.
• Strong attention to detail and IT skills - essential.
